It lets you store huge images, lets you organize things into folders and makes the real images available. However, as Eric mentions, perhaps you don't want to actually share the full image. Another advantage of Closr over majhost is that really big images are available quickly, since only a screen's worth is sent down the pipes. I prefer using majhost.com.
